1. Background
In line with the Country Programme Document (2016 - 2020) and UNICEF Strategic Plan 2018 - 2021, UNICEF Maldives will continue to build partnerships with the general public, key social sectors and partners at all levels through advocacy, communication and campaigning to achieve results for children, especially the most vulnerable. The country programme design adopts an evidence-based, policy advocacy and institutional strengthening approach in addressing the barriers that affect the most disadvantaged.
To translate this commitment to child rights and equity into resources and action for children, UNICEF Maldives will build a more coordinated, consistent communication and public advocacy strategy through key strategy partnerships with private sector/state-owned enterprises and develop advocacy products that aim to create awareness on new challenges that hinder the achievement of results for children.
In this regard, UNICEF Maldives Country Office intends to recruit an international consultant to provide technical support to the communication and partnership building efforts of the country office.
What is the basic project objective to which the consultancy is relatedThe overall goal of this consultancy is to support private sector partnership efforts and raising the visibility of the country office and support development of programmatic outreach materials. Details in Section 4.
