Kyrgyzstan: Care provider (f/m/x) for development of children with autism in Kyrgyzstan

Background **

Children with autism often encounter discrimination, stigmatization and isolation. Current assistance of the governments is relatively small in Kyrgyzstan. Hand in Hand, our partner organisation, is part of the Janyryk network, which works to promote childrens’ rights in cooperation with the state and at the international developmental level. They have three facilities in Bishkek, Osh and Karakol. They take a holistic approach to the care and treatment of children with autism. Hand in Hand seeks to develop and train its own personnel.

Job Scope

You can assist Hand in Hand by engaging in human resource development for specific services and care.

You would be responsible for the following:

• Analysis and evaluation of trainings for families with autism
• Assisting with conceptualization and development of trainings for families with autism
• Supporting personnel training and advising
• Strengthening advocacy

Qualification Profile

• A background/relevant university degree in occupational therapy, speech therapy or physiotherapy
• Professional experience and knowledge of standards and methods of treatment for autism
• Motivation and resourcefulness
• Competency in English
• Capacity to travel for business

Citizenship of a Member State of the European Union or of Switzerland is required.
