Chief of Party – USAID Sri Lanka and Maldives Climate Change Adaptation Program

DT Global seeks a Chief of Party for the anticipated USAID Sri Lanka and Maldives Climate Change program. The program has two main objectives: (1) to enhance the resilience of the Maldivian government, private sector, and local environmental and community groups to adapt to the vulnerabilities of climate change; and (2) to strengthen the resilience of the public and private sectors in Sri Lanka to reduce vulnerabilities to the impacts of climate change.

Responsibilities:

The COP will be responsible for the technical and administrative management of the activity and all of its sub-activities and crosscutting tasks. The COP will help develop and track implementation of the Work Plan, ensuring that all components are working in tandem and assuring that program deliverables are of quality. The COP will serve as the primary liaison with USAID, the host-country government, and project stakeholders and will provide recommendations to enhance the program as required.

Qualifications:

· Advanced degree in global climate change, natural resources management, environmental law, public policy, international development, business administration, or a related field.

· Minimum of 10 years’ experience leading or providing technical oversight for climate change, resilience, disaster risk management, or natural resource management programs.

· Minimum of five years’ experience as a Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, and/or Team Leader on a donor-funded program. USAID experience is strongly preferred.

· Demonstrated understanding of program design and monitoring and evaluation for climate change adaptation programs.

· Previous experience administering grants or similar mechanisms to amplify development impact is strongly desired.

· Past work experience in South Asia or Southeast Asia is strong preferred.

· Demonstrated interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and exceptional oral and written communication skills.
