Built on more than 50 years of experience from AECOM International Development, Development Transformations, and GPD Charitable Trust, DT Global is pioneering a new model of development that works in partnership with communities to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that create sustainable change and improve people's lives. We intend to channel the majority of fees received from donor contracts back into our partner non-profit, DT Institute, to support innovative initiatives that test new ideas or expand on donor partner priorities. The anticipated USAID Sri Lanka and Maldives Climate Change program has two main objectives: (1) to enhance the resilience of the Maldivian government, private sector, and local environmental and community groups to adapt to the vulnerabilities of climate change; and (2) to strengthen the resilience of the public and private sectors in Sri Lanka to reduce vulnerabilities to the impacts of climate change.
DT Global seeks technical experts in the following areas:
· Climate change adaptation
· Climate finance
· Climate vulnerability analysis
· Disaster risk management and resilience
· Natural resource management
· Coastal zone management
· Water resources management
· Fisheries management
· Tourism
· Agriculture
Qualifications:
· Demonstrated experience providing technical oversight in the technical areas mentioned above (climate change adaptation, climate finance, vulnerability analysis, etc.)**
· Seven years or more of progressively responsible experience implementing donor-funded development programs **
· Past or current work experience in Sri Lanka and/or the Maldives is required**
· Proven ability to collaborate and coordinate with private sector stakeholders to support climate change adaptation is preferred **
