The USAID-funded Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Activity in Maldives, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development (www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Administration and Finance Manager candidates. This position will be located in Male, Maldives.

The CCA Activity enhances the adaptive capacities of the public and private sectors and local communities in Maldives and Sri Lanka to climate change impacts in ways that contribute to sustained, inclusive market-based growth. This five-year project seeks to identify and scale up innovative solutions to adaptively manage climate-related risks through market-driven private sector and community engagement; strengthen central and/or local governance to address climate-related risks; and improve availability and access to high-quality information for decision-making to reduce vulnerability to climate change in both countries. The CCA Activity is a 5-year USAID contract being implemented by Tetra Tech, and runs through July 2026.

Position description/summary:

The Administration & Finance Manager is responsible for managing accounting and financial control systems for CCA Activity work in the Maldives. Manages bookkeeping and bank accounts. Prepares financial reports and manages payroll. Responsible for procurement related to activity and office operations. Manages day-to-day office administrative requirements. This position reports to Director of Operations.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Open and manage CCA Activity office in Male, Maldives;

* Establish CCA Activity operations systems and policies for the Maldives that are compliant to USAID and Tetra Tech regulations and requirements as well as Maldives laws;

* Manage CCA Activity finance, human resources, and subcontracting systems and processes for operations in the Maldives;

* Oversee CCA Activity procurement and grants systems and processes for operations in the Maldives;

* In close collaboration with the DCOP/Maldives, oversee, prepare and monitor budget and financial matters with the COP and Director of Operations;

* Provide mentoring and training in basic operational policies and procedures to CCA Activity technical staff; and

* Provide significant contributions to CCA Activity project deliverable documents including but not limited to Startup and Preliminary Work Plan, Annual Work Plan, Weekly Updates, Quarterly Reports, Annual Reports and Activity Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in administration, accounting, or related field;

* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial administration, preferably for donor-funded projects;

* Fluency in Dhivehi and English;

* Strong skills in Microsoft word and Microsoft Excel;

* Ability to undertake and/or manage multiple ongoing activities simultaneously; and

* Demonstrated ability to work on a team as a team player.
